数量的比 = nisbah bilangan 先写 kepada 前面的东西的数量，再写后面的。一张桌子配几条桌脚，就是 1 比几。 例子：1 辆三轮车有 3 个轮子，三轮车比轮子是 1 : 3。 注意：次序不能颠倒，不要把数字加起来。

a ratio of counts = nisbah bilangan Write the number of the thing before 'kepada' first, then the one after. One table to how many legs gives 1 to that number. Example: 1 tricycle has 3 wheels, so tricycle to wheels is 1 : 3. Watch out: do not swap the order or add the numbers.

换成仙 = tukar kepada sen 两个金额一个是仙，一个是令吉，要先换成同一个单位。RM1 等于多少仙？换好以后再写比。 例子：1 仙比 RM10 → 1 仙 : 1 000 仙 → 1 : 1 000。 注意：比的后面不写 sen 或 RM。

change to sen = tukar kepada sen One amount is in sen and the other in ringgit, so change them to the same unit first. How many sen make RM1? Then write the ratio. Example: 1 sen to RM10 → 1 sen : 1 000 sen → 1 : 1 000. Watch out: do not write sen or RM after the ratio.

比的读法 = cara membaca nisbah 冒号“:”在马来文里读作 kepada，左边的数字先读，右边的数字后读。 例子：1 : 3 读作 satu kepada tiga。 注意：冒号不是加号，读的时候也不能把次序倒过来。

reading a ratio = cara membaca nisbah The colon ':' is read as 'kepada' in Malay; read the left number first and the right number second. Example: 1 : 3 is read 'satu kepada tiga'. Watch out: a colon is not a plus sign, and the order must not be reversed when reading.

容量的比 = nisbah isi padu 先把升换成毫升，两个数量都用毫升，再写比，最后不写单位。 例子：1 毫升比 2 升 → 1 毫升 : 2 000 毫升。 注意：1 升不是 100 毫升。

a ratio of volumes = nisbah isi padu Change litres into millilitres so both quantities are in millilitres, then write the ratio without units. Example: 1 mℓ to 2 ℓ → 1 mℓ : 2 000 mℓ. Watch out: 1 ℓ is not 100 mℓ.
