进位到厘米 = kumpul semula ke cm 先算毫米栏，看看和有没有达到十；有的话，十毫米换成一厘米，写到厘米栏，毫米栏只留下个位的部分。然后算厘米栏，加上换来的一厘米。答案要写成几厘米几毫米，毫米部分一定在零到九之间。 例子：16 cm 7 mm + 5 cm 5 mm → 21 cm 12 mm → 22 cm 2 mm。 注意：进位以后厘米栏要记得多加一。

If it does, change 10 mm into 1 cm, move it to the centimetres column and keep only the ones in the millimetres column. Then add the centimetres, including the carried one. change everything to millimetres = tukar semua kepada mm The three lengths use different units, so the easiest way is to change them all into millimetres. A length already in millimetres stays the same; for centimetres and millimetres, multiply the centimetres by 10 and add the millimetres; centimetres alone are simply multiplied by 10. Then add the three numbers in a column. Example: 35 mm + 2 cm 6 mm + 5 cm = 35 mm + 26 mm + 50 mm = 111 mm. Watch out: a length given only in centimetres must not be added as if it were millimetres.

求总路程 = cari jumlah jarak 从家到学校，再从学校到图书馆，两段路接在一起，总路程就用加法。把千米对千米、米对米写成竖式，先加米；米的和满 1 000 m 就换成 1 km，送到千米栏；最后加千米。 例子：3 km 720 m + 2 km 550 m → 5 km 1 270 m → 6 km 270 m。 注意：写答案时两个单位都要写清楚。

three distances in metres = tambah tiga jarak, jawapan dalam m A distance given only in metres goes in the metres column with the kilometres column empty. 96 m has two digits, so line it up under the tens and ones. If the metres column passes 1 000, regroup 1 km. You may instead change every distance into metres first (kilometres × 1 000, plus the metres) and add the three numbers. Example: 1 km 75 m + 3 km 850 m + 300 m = 1 075 + 3 850 + 300 = 5 225 m. Watch out: a two-digit number of metres needs a zero in the hundreds place.
