路程估计时间 = jarak dan masa 在路线图上，每八十公里大约是一小时。去根地咬的八十五公里很接近八十公里，所以大约一小时；去丹南的一百五十公里接近一百六十公里，也就是两个八十公里，所以大约两小时。 例子：40 km 是 80 km 的一半 → 大约半小时。 注意：估计时找最接近的参考数。

distance and time = jarak dan masa On the route, every 80 km takes about an hour. 85 km to Keningau is close to 80 km, so about 1 hour; 150 km to Tenom is close to 160 km, two lots of 80 km, so about 2 hours. Example: 40 km is half of 80 km, so about half an hour. Watch out: use the nearest reference number when estimating.

工作量估计时间 = kerja dan masa 阿姨大约二十分钟包四十五包。四个二十分钟包了一百八十包，花了八十分钟；还剩二十包，不到四十五包，所以用不到二十分钟。估计总时间多于八十分钟，大约九十分钟。 例子：10 分钟做 30 个，60 个大约 20 分钟。 注意：估计不需要算出精确的分钟数。

work and time = kerja dan masa The auntie packs about 45 bags in 20 minutes. Four lots of 20 minutes pack 180 bags in 80 minutes; the last 20 bags are fewer than 45, so they need less than 20 minutes. The estimate is more than 80 minutes, about 90 minutes. Example: 30 items in 10 minutes means 60 items in about 20 minutes. Watch out: an estimate does not need the exact number of minutes.

分组估计 = anggar mengikut kumpulan 先找参考：多少题大约用多少分钟。再看要做的题目里有几组这样的参考量，每一组用的时间差不多，把几组的时间合起来就是估计的时间，最后用 lebih kurang 来表示。 例子：每 6 页大约 15 分钟，24 页有 4 组 → 大约 60 分钟。 注意：是用组数乘每组的时间，不是把题目数直接乘分钟数。

estimate in groups = anggar mengikut kumpulan Start from the reference: about how many minutes for how many questions. Find how many such groups are in the new amount; each group takes about the same time, so put the groups' times together and say it with lebih kurang. Example: 6 pages in about 15 minutes, so 24 pages are 4 groups → about 60 minutes. Watch out: multiply the number of groups by the time for one group, not the number of questions by the minutes.

几倍的时间 = berapa kali ganda 题目给了一个参考：一定数量的书大约要多少分钟。先算要排的书是参考数量的几倍，再把参考时间乘上同样的倍数。估计出来的时间只是大约，不必很精准。 例子：20 个盒子大约 8 分钟，80 个盒子是 4 倍 → 大约 32 分钟。 注意：倍数要算对，少算或多算一组，时间都会差很多。

how many times as long = berapa kali ganda The reference says about how many minutes a certain number of books takes. Find how many times bigger the new amount is, then multiply the reference time by the same number. The result is only an estimate, so it need not be exact. Example: 20 boxes in about 8 minutes, so 80 boxes, 4 times as many, take about 32 minutes. Watch out: count the groups carefully; one group too many or too few changes the time a lot.
