Mesin Ringkas
Di sekolah terdapat tanjakan untuk kerusi roda, roda pada troli buku dan takal pada tiang bendera.
Semuanya ialah mesin ringkas.
Bagaimanakah alat-alat ini memudahkan kerja kita?
简单机械 = mesin ringkas
简单机械是结构简单、能让工作变得容易的工具。学校里就有很多：轮椅坡道、书车的轮子、旗杆上的滑轮。这个单元认识七种简单机械，并用它们解决问题。
例子：升旗时拉绳子，滑轮让旗子往上升。
注意：简单机械让我们省力或改变用力方向。

Simple machines are simple tools that make work easier. Schools have many: wheelchair ramps, book-trolley wheels and the pulley on a flagpole. This unit covers seven simple machines and how they solve problems.
Example: pulling the rope makes the flag rise because of the pulley.
Watch out: simple machines reduce effort or change its direction.

Jenis mesin ringkas
Terdapat tujuh jenis mesin ringkas:
- tuas · roda dan gandar · takal
- satah condong · baji
- skru · gear
Contoh: Pisau ialah baji. Penutup botol berpusing ialah skru.
简单机械的种类 = jenis
七种简单机械：杠杆（tuas）、轮轴（roda dan gandar）、滑轮（takal）、斜面（satah condong）、楔子（baji）、螺丝（skru）和齿轮（gear）。
例子：刀子是楔子；旋转的瓶盖是螺丝。
注意：一样东西要看它的形状和作用来判断。

The seven simple machines: lever (tuas), wheel and axle (roda dan gandar), pulley (takal), inclined plane (satah condong), wedge (baji), screw (skru) and gear (gear).
Example: a knife is a wedge; a twist-off bottle cap is a screw.
Watch out: judge each object by its shape and job.

轮椅坡道是倾斜的平面，是斜面；斧头前端尖、能劈开木头，是楔子；旗杆顶上拉绳子的轮子是滑轮。
例子：脚踏车的链条和齿盘是齿轮。
注意：看形状和用法。

A wheelchair ramp is a sloping surface: inclined plane. An axe has a sharp edge that splits wood: wedge. The wheel at the top of a flagpole: pulley.
Example: a bicycle's chain and sprocket are gears.
Watch out: look at shape and use.

找轮轴 = cari roda dan gandar
轮轴是一个轮子绕着一根轴转动。手推车、脚踏车有轮子；门把手转动时也是轮轴。刀子是楔子，楼梯近似斜面。这题有几个答案。
例子：方向盘也是轮轴。
注意：门把手虽然不像轮子，但原理一样。
finding wheel and axle = cari roda dan gandar
A wheel and axle is a wheel turning on a rod. Trolleys and bicycles have wheels; a door knob turning is also a wheel and axle. A knife is a wedge; stairs are like an inclined plane. There are several answers.
Example: a steering wheel is also a wheel and axle.
Watch out: a door knob does not look like a wheel but works the same way.

Mesin ringkas menyelesaikan masalah
Mesin ringkas boleh dipilih untuk menyelesaikan masalah kerja harian. Contohnya, satah condong memudahkan tong sampah ditolak naik ke lori.
Contoh: Pak cik menggunakan papan sebagai satah condong untuk menolak tong berat ke atas lori.

遇到困难的工作，可以想：哪一种简单机械能帮忙？要把重东西搬上高处，可以用斜面或滑轮；要移动重物，可以用轮子。
例子：叔叔用木板做斜面，把重桶推上罗厘。
注意：先说清问题，再选机械，画出设计草图。
solving problems = selesaikan masalah
For a hard job, ask which simple machine could help. To raise something heavy, use an inclined plane or a pulley; to move heavy things, use wheels.
Example: Uncle uses a plank as a ramp to push a heavy drum onto a lorry.
Watch out: state the problem, choose the machine, then sketch a design.
