4 soalan untuk mengukuhkan unit Ukur Panjang Objek. Jika salah, baca petunjuk dan cuba lagi.
Berapakah panjang cangkerang siput ini?
量贝壳 = ukur cangkerang
measuring a shell = ukur cangkerang
The left end of the shell is already on zero. Look at the right end: find the last number it passes, then count the small spaces to the right, 1 mm each, and add the two together to get the length.
Example: 7 spaces after 10 reads 17 mm.
Watch out: if the end lands exactly on a long line, there are no extra spaces to count.
Berapakah panjang biji kacang ini?
measuring a small seed = ukur biji kacang
Tiny objects are measured the same way: one end on zero, then see which number the other end has passed and count the small spaces after it. The medium line marks 5, so you can carry on counting from there.
Example: 5 spaces past 20 reads 25 mm.
Watch out: once the end passes the number 10, start adding from ten.
Berapakah panjang daun ini?
a centimetre-numbered ruler = pembaris bernombor cm
The ruler prints centimetre numbers, and each one stands for ten millimetres. Multiply the last number the leaf passes by ten to get millimetres, then add the small spaces after it.
Example: 9 spaces past the number 4 is 40 mm and 9 mm, which is 49 mm.
Watch out: the length must be given in millimetres, so remember to multiply the number by ten.
Semasa mula mengukur, hujung objek diletakkan di mana?
起点 = titik mula
starting point = titik mula
When measuring, we want the reading at the other end to be the length itself, with nothing to add or take away. Think: which reading on a ruler means there is no length yet? Put one end of the object there, and the reading at the other end will equal its length.
Example: when reading the far end, look at which line the end touches, not at where the number is printed.
Watch out: where you start decides whether the reading is right, so check it before you read.
