减法的另一句 = ayat tolak yang lain 一个减法算式里有三个时间：最长的、减去的、剩下的。“减去的”和“剩下的”加起来等于最长的，所以两者可以对调位置，仍然成立。找新算式时：最长的还是放在减号前面，另外两个交换。 例子：2 年 5 个月 − 1 年 = 1 年 5 个月，所以 2 年 5 个月 − 1 年 5 个月 = 1 年。 注意：最长的时间一定在减号前面，不能放到等号后面。

the other subtraction sentence = ayat tolak yang lain A subtraction sentence has three times: the longest, the part taken away and the part left. The two parts add up to the longest, so they can swap places and the sentence is still true. Keep the longest before the minus sign and swap the other two. Example: 2 years 5 months − 1 year = 1 year 5 months, so 2 years 5 months − 1 year 5 months = 1 year. Watch out: the longest time always comes before the minus sign, never after the equals sign.

比较长短 = banding tempoh 比较几周几天的时间：先比较周数，周数多的比较长；周数一样，才比较天数。因为天数一定少于七，所以多一周就一定更长。最后可以用加法检查：另外两张加起来是否等于你选的那张。 例子：3 周 0 天比 2 周 6 天长。 注意：不要只看天数的大小，要先比大单位。

compare lengths = banding tempoh To compare weeks and days, compare the weeks first; more weeks means longer. Only when the weeks are equal do you compare the days. Since the days are always fewer than 7, one more week is always longer. Check by adding the other two cards to see if they equal your choice. Example: 3 weeks 0 days is longer than 2 weeks 6 days. Watch out: do not look only at the days; compare the bigger unit first.
