Bagaimanakah kita menyatakan usia ini dalam dekad dan abad?
年、十年期和世纪 = tahun, dekad dan abad
一个 dekad 是十年，一个 abad 是一百年。年换成 dekad 要除以十，余数是年；年换成 abad 要除以一百，余数也是年。反过来，把 dekad 或 abad 换成年，就乘十或乘一百，再加上后面的年数。
例子：35 年 = 3 dekad 5 年。
注意：看数位就能很快换算：十位是 dekad，百位是 abad。

A dekad is 10 years and an abad is 100 years. To change years to dekad divide by 10, and the remainder is years; to change years to abad divide by 100, and the remainder is years. To go back, multiply by 10 or 100 and add the years.
Example: 35 years = 3 dekad 5 years.
Watch out: place value helps: the tens show dekad and the hundreds show abad.

四十七年里有四个十年，余下七年，所以是四个 dekad 七年。其实看数位就知道：十位的四就是四个 dekad，个位的七就是七年。
例子：62 年 = 6 dekad 2 年。
注意：余数一定比十小。

47 years hold four tens with 7 left, so 4 dekad 7 years. Place value shows it at once: the 4 tens are 4 dekad and the 7 ones are 7 years.

二百五十八年里有两个一百年，余下五十八年，所以是两个 abad 五十八年。百位的二就是两个 abad，后面两位五十八就是年。
例子：415 年 = 4 abad 15 年。
注意：余下的年数一定比一百小。

258 years hold two hundreds with 58 left: 2 abad 58 years. The hundreds digit 2 gives the abad and the last two digits give the years.
Example: 415 years = 4 abad 15 years.
Watch out: the years left must be less than 100.

三个 abad 是三乘一百，三百年，再加十六年，得三百一十六年。两个 abad 是二百年，六个 dekad 是六乘十，六十年，加起来二百六十年。
例子：1 abad 4 dekad = 140 年。
注意：dekad 乘十，abad 乘一百，不要弄混。

3 abad = 3 × 100 = 300 years, plus 16 years, makes 316 years. 2 abad = 200 years and 6 dekad = 6 × 10 = 60 years, together 260 years.
Example: 1 abad 4 dekad = 140 years.
Watch out: dekad multiply by 10 and abad by 100; do not mix them up.

题目有 dekad 和年两部分。先把 dekad 的数目乘十换成年，再加上后面原有的年数。也可以用数位想：dekad 的数目放在十位，年数放在个位。
例子：8 dekad 1 年 → 80 + 1 = 81 年。
注意：一个 dekad 是十年，不是一百年；两个数字的位置也不能调换。

There are two parts, dekad and years. Multiply the dekad by 10 to get years, then add the years given. With place value, the dekad go in the tens and the years in the ones.
Example: 8 dekad 1 year → 80 + 1 = 81 years.
Watch out: a dekad is 10 years, not 100, and the two digits must not swap places.

注意：十位是零时，后面两位要当作一个数来读，不要多写一个零。

Split the years into whole hundreds and the years left. The hundreds divided by 100 give the abad, and the years under 100 stay as years. Place value is quickest: the hundreds digit is abad and the last two digits together are years.
Example: 702 years → 700 + 2 → 7 abad 2 years.
Watch out: when the tens digit is 0, read the last two digits as one number; do not add an extra zero.
