年龄化成月 = umur dalam bulan 年龄有“几年几月”两部分。先把年的部分乘十二换成月，再加上后面原有的月数，合起来才是总月数。 例子：9 年 2 个月 → 9 × 12 = 108，108 + 2 = 110 个月。 注意：常见错误是只换了年，忘了加后面的月；也不要把年当成十个月来乘。

age in months = umur dalam bulan The age has two parts, years and months. Multiply the years by 12 to get months, then add the months already given; together they are the total. Example: 9 years 2 months → 9 × 12 = 108, 108 + 2 = 110 months. Watch out: do not stop after changing the years and forget the months, and do not treat a year as 10 months.

月化年 = bulan ke tahun 问“几年”，就是看月数里有几个十二个月，用除法：月数除以十二。如果刚好除尽，就只有年、没有余下的月。可以用乘法验算：年数乘十二应该回到原来的月数。 例子：84 个月 → 84 ÷ 12 = 7 年。 注意：不能把月数的两个数字拆开来当作年和月。

months to years = bulan ke tahun To find how many years, see how many 12s are in the months: divide by 12. If it divides exactly there are only years, no months left. Check by multiplying the years by 12. Example: 84 months → 84 ÷ 12 = 7 years. Watch out: do not split the two digits of the months into years and months.

工程时间 = tempoh projek 题目给的是总月数，要写成“几年几月”。先找出最多有几个十二个月，这是年数；再用总月数减去这些月，剩下的就是月数。 例子：15 个月 → 1 × 12 = 12，15 − 12 = 3 → 1 年 3 个月。 注意：写好后检查月数是不是少于十二，多于十二就还要再进位。

the length of a project = tempoh projek The question gives total months to be written as years and months. Find the most whole 12s (the years), then subtract those months from the total; what is left is the months. Example: 15 months → 1 × 12 = 12, 15 − 12 = 3 → 1 year 3 months. Watch out: check that the months are fewer than 12; if not, make another year.
