Soalan 1 / 3Latihan tambahan
Ben menyimpan RM12.40, RM9.60 dan RM15 dalam tiga minggu. Berapakah jumlah simpanannya?
例子:RM1.50 + RM2.50 + RM3 = RM7.00,因为五十仙加五十仙刚好一令吉。
add them up = jumlahkan Add all three weeks of savings. Write them in columns with .00 for the whole amount and the points lined up. When the sen reach 100, change them into RM1 and carry it to the ringgit. Example: RM1.50 + RM2.50 + RM3 = RM7.00, because 50 sen + 50 sen makes exactly RM1. Watch out: always carry when the sen make RM1, or the total is RM1 short.
Soalan 2 / 3Latihan tambahan
Hari ini Siti mendapat RM6 dan membelanjakan RM2.30. Berapakah wang yang boleh disimpan?
例子:得到 RM5,花 RM1.20,可以存 RM5.00 − RM1.20 = RM3.80。
how much can be saved = boleh simpan berapa In a daily budget, received = saved + spent, so saved = received − spent. Write the whole ringgit amount with .00 and change RM1 into 100 sen when the sen are too small. Example: receive RM5, spend RM1.20, save RM5.00 − RM1.20 = RM3.80. Watch out: the savings must be less than the money received; adding the two amounts is wrong.
Soalan 3 / 3Latihan tambahan
Harga kasut sukan RM75. Jika Chong menyimpan RM15 seminggu, berapa minggu dia perlu menyimpan?
how many weeks = berapa minggu Saving the same amount each week, find how many weekly savings fit into the goal: goal ÷ weekly saving. You can also keep adding one week's saving and count how many times. Example: goal RM36 at RM9 a week: RM36 ÷ RM9 = 4 weeks. Watch out: you are finding a number of weeks, by dividing; subtracting gives an amount of money, not weeks.
